Incheon and Gimpo sell SIMs, and the big travel eSIM apps work in Korea too. No pretending otherwise.
What changes is the timing. Chuseok is one of Korea's two biggest holidays: from 24 September to 26 September the whole country is on the move, airports and stations are at their fullest, queues run longer than usual, and a lot of neighbourhood shops and carrier stores shut for the holiday, so sorting a SIM once you leave the airport takes longer.
The simple fix: buy and install on home Wi-Fi, then turn data on when you land. Navigation, translation, KakaoTalk and ticket apps all work from the moment you clear customs.
Calling a taxi, finding your pickup, checking the airport express. Data on and you are moving.
Rerouted subways, sold-out KTX, long taxi queues. Live maps earn their keep this week.
Small shops and carrier stores may be shut. Check opening hours before you walk there.
Video, photos, voice notes. Size the plan a little generously so it does not stall.
Same plan, more days costs more, so start from how long you need to stay online. Sorted by use case below, and you can still switch at checkout.

No slogans. Four things you can verify yourself, right now, on this page.
All 26 plans are published on this page, and the Airalo prices were checked on 2026-09-06. Where a rival is cheaper, the table says so.
The chat bubble is me, not a bot. English, Chinese or Japanese, and asking without buying is fine.
Airports do sell tourist SIMs and this is not a year-long 090 plan. Both are written on this page. What I sell is the bridge until your residence card has an address.
You order, the payment link arrives by email, you pay only if you are happy. The QR follows to the same inbox.

This shop is new and has not collected buyer reviews yet. Once the first students land and the data actually works, I will publish their own words here (screenshot, note comment or email reply). I am not going to write them myself. In the meantime, open the chat and test me with a few questions.
Maps and messaging only? 3 GB for 7 days at $5.70 covers a week. Posting photos, hotspotting, recording video? Most people take 10 GB for 7 days at $9.21. Heavy use goes to the best price per GB here, 20 GB for 7 days at $15.27. All of it straight from the store table.
Not sure? Tap the chat bubble in the corner and ask me directly. 100% human, English or Chinese.
Pick days and data, check out here. The QR arrives by email.
Settings, add cellular plan, scan. Name the line so it does not mix with your home SIM.
Keep it off in the air. Validity starts at activation, not at purchase.
Full walkthrough: Install eSIM before you fly
Yes. The counters at Incheon and Gimpo generally stay open, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. The catch is timing: Chuseok is the busiest travel window of the Korean year, so queues run long, and plenty of neighbourhood shops and carrier stores close for the holiday, which makes buying outside the airport slower. Installing before you fly skips that entirely.
The public holiday runs 24 September to 26 September 2026, with Chuseok itself on 25 September. The whole country travels to family homes, so expect packed KTX trains, busy expressways and full airports. Many restaurants and small shops close, while palaces and the big attractions usually stay open. Keep the schedule loose and keep maps and translation working.
Maps, translation, KakaoTalk and a few photo uploads run comfortably on 3 to 5 GB for a week. If you post video, hotspot a laptop or stream, go to 10 GB or more. 10 GB for 7 days is $9.21 and it is the one most people take. Start small if you are unsure and top up later.
Order on this site with USDT or card. Placing the order charges nothing: the payment link comes by email, and once payment is confirmed the eSIM QR follows to the same inbox. Not sure which plan? Tap the chat bubble, a real human answers.
Buy and scan the QR on home Wi-Fi, then leave the line switched off. Validity starts at activation, so you do not burn days in the air. Turn Korean data on after you clear customs.
10 GB for 7 days at $9.21, or the best per GB, 20 GB for 7 days at $15.27. Both buttons go to the checkout on this site.
